about pathway

Pathway helps dental practice owners grow faster and run more efficiently by bringing CRM, HR, Finance Ops and AI together in one all-in-one software platform.

Pathway platform overview

what pathway does

Patient Journey Management

Pathway brings new enquiries, patient conversations, treatment plans and follow-up tasks into one fast workflow for your team. Teams can see who needs a reply, who is considering treatment and which patients are ready to book.

Compliance & HR

Pathway helps practices manage policies, audits, checklists, staff records, training, rotas and leave. Owners and managers can see what needs attention and who is responsible for it.

Finance Operations

Pathway brings supplier invoices, Associate Pay, stock, lab cases and practice profitability into view. Teams can spot rising costs, review purchases and make better-informed ordering decisions.

Diary Intelligence

Pathway highlights potential no-shows, overdue hygiene and treatment opportunities in the day’s appointments. That gives clinicians and front-desk teams useful context before they see each patient.

Patient Guides

Pathway turns treatment plans into visual guides patients can review after their appointment. Clear explanations, practice information and booking steps help patients understand the proposed care and decide what to do next.

AI Docs

Pathway helps clinicians create notes, letters and patient reports using speech and structured workflows. Clinicians review the finished record while spending less time typing.

what makes pathway different

  1. 01

Six connected areas of practice work

Pathway covers six named areas: patient journeys, compliance and HR, spend, diary intelligence, patient guides and AI documentation. Specialist products such as Kiroku concentrate on clinical documentation, while Agilio iComply concentrates on compliance; Pathway gives practices a way to work across these areas together.

  2. 02

Follow-up starts with the first enquiry

Pathway’s patient journey has four working stages: Intake, Nurture, Open Plans and Active Treatment. FollowApp Care centres its service on checking in after an appointment; Pathway also helps teams act while a prospective patient is still deciding whether to book.

  3. 03

    Three practical views of spending

Pathway’s spend tools cover supplier invoices, stock and lab work, so practices can examine costs beyond the patient bill. Dentally provides the core practice management system for many dental teams; Pathway can connect to Dentally and add operational workflows around it.

  4. 04

Diary signals teams can act on today

Pathway’s diary view calls attention to three kinds of opportunity or risk: likely no-shows, overdue hygiene and potential treatment needs. EXACT also offers recall and appointment tools; Pathway puts these signals into its wider patient follow-up workflow.

  5. 05

    Modular pricing

Each Pathway module costs £97 per month, so a practice can start with the areas it needs and add others later. For context, Dentally publishes three practice management tiers, starting at £125 per month for one surgery; the products cover different jobs and can be used together.

who uses pathway

  • Independent UK dental practices that want a clearer process for patient follow-up and day-to-day operations.
  • Multi-site dental groups that need oversight of patient journeys, staff, compliance and spending across locations.
  • Practices using Dentally that want additional patient journey and operational workflows around their existing system.
  • Private and mixed dental practices presenting treatment plans that need careful explanation and follow-up.
  • Practice owners, managers, treatment coordinators, clinicians and operations teams who share responsibility for getting work done.

the team behind pathway

Jonathan Beacher, founder of Pathway

Founder

Jonathan Beacher

Jonathan Beacher took over a small Essex dental practice in 2021 and saw how much staff time went into invoices, compliance and other administrative work. He began improving those processes in his own practice, then built Pathway to make the same approach available to other dental teams. Read Pathway’s founder story.

CTO

Mannie and the wider team

Pathway publicly names Mannie as its CTO alongside Jonathan as founder. The service also includes onboarding, training and UK-based support, connecting the software team’s work with the people using it in practice.

founder story

In 2021, I took over a small practice in a leafy village in Essex. Most people told me not to. For a lot of reasons, they were right.

What I walked into was a great team buried under compliance, invoices, and admin. Patients felt it. Nobody had time to think about where each patient was in their journey, what they needed next, or why they weren’t coming back.

Once we automated that operational noise, the team got their time back. They spent it with patients. Understanding journeys. Guiding next steps. Not chasing paperwork.

We’re on track to quadruple revenue within five years, with improving margins the whole way.

I built Pathway so other practices can do the same.

how pathway works

A practice starts by choosing the modules it needs and arranging a demo. Pathway’s onboarding team helps set up the relevant workflows, trains staff and, for Patient Journey Management, connects the enquiry sources and systems the practice uses.

Pathway says most practices using its patient journey tools can be set up within a few days, although the timetable depends on the modules and data involved. Once live, users can submit a request through Settings → Account → Security → Contact Support. Pathway includes UK-based support but does not publish a guaranteed response time or a single turnaround time for every type of setup.
